Announced as a Barack Obama event, it turned out to be more of a unite-Arizona-Democrats party.
Event organizer Art Mobley said some 100 people signed up on the Obama Web site, but there were many more than that at the 1130 restaurant in the Arizona Center, Phoenix, Ariz. It was wall-to-wall in the bar, in the main dining area and outside on the patio.

As you came in the door, there was an information center with flyers for KPHX and the various people running for office: Marilyn Fox, Maricopa board of supervisors; Dan Saban, Maricopa County sheriff; Howard Shanker, Congressional District 1; Tim Nelson, Maricopa County attorney; Gerald Richard, Maricopa County attorney.

People stood around snacking and drinking to the sounds of a small band with a singer under the watchful eye of Art Mobley.

People formed a semi-circle in front of the speaker, shouting out "Yes!" when asked, "Are you ready for change?"
