Corinthians won the Campeonato Paulista, it's the 26th Paulistao title in Corinthians' history.

Corinthians not only has now four more Campeonato Paulista's titles than Palmeiras, the second team to win the most Paulistaos, followed by Sao Paulo that won 21 times. The team is an unbeaten champion.

In fact, Corinthians didn't lose a match in the entire championship. It played 23 matches with no losses.

After the 3 - 1 win in an away match of the great final, it was easy for Corinthians to win the championship. It could lose to Santos by two goals or less, but did better than this.

Santos wanted to win a lot -- not winning the tournament was acceptable, but to see their rival unbeaten was too much.

The match at Pacaembu was decided from the start. Santos tried to pressure for the goal, but it was hard; Corinthians was dominating the match. Kleber Pereira scored a penalty in the first half, and gave hope to Santos fans. Not too far from that moment, Andre Santos erased any hope that Santos fans might have had. He scored the goal that gave the final result for the match, 1 - 1.

Watch the highlights of Corinthians 1 - 1 Santos.

With the result, Corinthians won the championship unbeaten, a situation that hadn't happened since 1972, when Palmeiras was the unbeaten champion and Sao Paulo an unbeaten runner-up.

Everyone celebrated a lot, until the fireworks of the show had some problem and literally set Corinthians' captain, Willian, on fire. Nothing to worry, he wasn't injured.

The Paulista Federation of Football -- Federacao Paulista de Futebol, in Portuguese -- will hold a celebration party this week, and awards will be given for the best players, teams and cheerleaders. I'll be there and will bring to you some photos and details from this great party.
