| But this online participatory journalism site has been going strong for seven years; OhmyNews International for three.
On this anniversary, all of us at OhmyNews International: Yu-jin Chang, Shane Tasker and John McFarland in the U.S., Tim Savage, Claire George and myself in Seoul, would like to thank you for all the wonderful stories and comments you've sent us over the past year.
We're growing all the time. The ranks of our citizen reporters have increased slowly and steadily to nearly 1,900.
The quality of reporting has also increased -- in no small part to the promise OMNI editors have made to give our citizen reporters as much input as possible on ways to improve their reporting and writing skills.
Our on-going work includes a new two-tiered system of editing -- pre-publication input via a Web application word processor -- and extensive editing and interaction in the publication (or rejection) phase of the collaboration.
All of us at OhmyNews would like to thanks you for your support and please do recommend our site to your friends and family.
Let's make 2007 the best year yet for citizen journalism.
