I am 2007 that has just past,
Leaving you in great memories of me,
Which include precious and sad moments?

I remember the first day I met all of you.
It was very joyful and indeed celebration.
Many of you thought I will only serve you positive
While many others anticipate that I may serve positive and negative.

I remember those days, those endless hours you all spent
Praying that I should be very kind and enthusiastic to you all
Unfortunately, I started given you pains from April,
When unknown assassins killed a popular Islamic Scholar in April.

I quickly comfort you when you elected your new President and
Governors in the same April.
On May 29, I made you happy again, when you Sworn in New President and Governors Peacefully.
It was a joyful transition from Civilian to Civilian in the history of your dear nation.

I am proud that in me you witnessed a turning point democratically.
I am proud that you elected a deserving President, Umar Musa 쁚ar Adua, in me.
He is very deserving and a president with focus.
You celebrated Id셞l Fitr, Muslim celebration peacefully in me.

Likewise, you celebrated Christmas peacefully in me.
I am proud and hope my daughter 2008 will serve you very well.
Now that my relationship with you is over,
I pray that God will give you courage to leave a good life without me.
Yours, 2007
