OhmyNews citizen reporters' "Reporter Desk page"
Dear OhmyNews readers and international citizen reporters: you've come a long way.

At long last, OhmyNews International has opened its citizen reporter login system to the world. Join us as an OhmyNews global citizen reporter and be part of the history-making experiment in new media unfolding now.

If you open a citizen reporter account, you will be able to enjoy full control over your articles. After submitting your registration details with OhmyNews for confirmation by our staff, you will find your very own reporter's desk where you can keep track of readers' reactions in real time. This includes the number of people who've read your stories and their comments, and the amount of cybercash you earned.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that all of your stories will be accepted as OhmyNews articles. OhmyNews International editors will read through your stories, fact-checking them and editing for style, making them more polished for your readers. If your story doesn't make it to the main page, it will remain in the database and viewable to all as a 'Saengnamu' article.

To help you to get through a smooth initiation as a citizen reporter, we have prepared a detailed FAQ and slide show (PowerPoint) that will walk you step-by-step through OhmyNews' writing process.

Another exciting development is coming this summer, when OhmyNews International will invite OhmyNews citizen reporters both inside and outside of Korea to Seoul for the second international citizen reporters' forum.

A who's who of citizen participatory on-line journalism will also attend the forum to discuss the future of on-line media.

We hope that we can invite YOU to this unusual occasion.

So log on and be part of history NOW.
